Even though it’s only August our local Polar Express and other Christmas experiences have started booking, I thought this would be a good time to post about our Santa Sleepover experience at Alton Towers.

Me, my husband and our (then) two year old daughter visited the first weekend of December and had an amazing time. There was plenty of parking and check in at the hotel was quick and easy. The hotel was so pretty and decorated beautifully both inside and out. The room was lovely, clean and cosy and we all slept really well.
We had an afternoon in the park, only certain rides and areas were open but it was more than enough for us. My little girl especially enjoyed The Sea Life Centre. The afternoon in the park included a visit to Santa where an elf guide walked us through a “forest” to Santa’s cabin. It was a great Santa visit and children were able to choose their own gift from a vast selection of toys.
In the evening we had dinner in The Secret Garden restaurant which was a lovely experience as the food was wonderful and the restaurant is perfect for children.
The following day we got to spend some time in the water park which had a good range of rides and activities for all ages, our two year old found plenty to do and we spent a couple of hours there before heading home.
It’s a lovely festive experience and Alton Towers have got it perfect. As we went early in December I thought it was a lovely way to kick off the run up to Christmas. I would definitely recommend and we will definitely be going again.
